Happy 3-day weekend!

 

IT’S FRIDAY! & most of us have a 3-day weekend, so here’s a list of some events happening in Reno this long weekend. Plus a few of my favorite places to dine, in case you need some ideas.

Saturday:

Extravaganza at the Plaza– Explore the riverwalk and visit our unique booths, artists displays and kids zone. This is a great way to spend the afternoon with your family. @10am-9pm

Reno’s Annual Rose & Flower Show- Enjoy a Star-Spangled array of Roses and Flowers from local gardens that can be grown in your garden. Floral arrangements that are Out of this World, photography and floral exhibits from local gardeners. Arrangement demonstration of Western and Eastern techniques. @12pm-5pm

The Reno Fashion Show 2016: Featuring Men’s and Women’s Fashions by 25 local and international designers. Special Guest Designer Richard Hallmarq from Project Runway. @7:30pm-9pm

Sunday Music Bruch: Jill Cohn- Enjoy live music and brunch presented by chez louie. The menu features artful dishes, mimosas and a Bloody Mary Bar. Museum members receive a 10% savings. Reservations strongly encouraged at 775.284.2921. @10am-2pm

Jazz at the Sands: Joe McKenna and Brasil 2016-Bassist and bandleader Joe McKenna loves Brazil and its people but he mostly loves the transforming music, the sambas, bossa novas and percussive sounds. Joe and his 7 pc. band feature lyrical, as well as instrumental performances in this Brazilian musical journey. Star Spangled Sparks-The region’s longest, most spectacular fireworks display is set off from the roof of the Nugget Casino Resort while thousands of revelers celebrate our nation’s birthday. Live entertainment for the whole family, a kid’s area and an array of activities. @4pm-11:00pm
