Chili on the Comstock

Downtown Virginia City
May 14, 2016 -May 15, 2016

Officially sanctioned by the International Chili Society, 30 of the best chili cookers in the west compete for bragging rights and a spot in the world finals.
Historic Virginia City hosts more than 30 of the best chili cookers in the West competing for a spot in the International Chili Society (ICS) World Finals later in the year.  Cool your taste buds and participate in the Fireball Crawl, including more than 10 of Virginia City’s famous saloons.  There’s a kids zone with bounce houses, trampolines and other activities.
Taking place along C Street, the historic town’s main drive. The event is free to the public and chili tasting packages will be available for advance purchase or at the day of event. Go to the website link below for more information.

Everything goes better with beer!

Reno Craft Beer Week is a region-wide celebration of fine ales and lagers for traveling beer enthusiasts, culinary adventurists, ale rookies and local fermentation aficionados. Sample the region’s finest beers and learn from local beer makers about their evolving craft.


Over 70 events!

The event is eclectic and has beer bus tours, blues, home brews, Strange Brews, beer and bites, cocktail flights and fermentation science nights.  There are beer dinners (and breakfasts!), tap takeovers, tastings and educational events kicked off by Backwash, Northern Nevada’s premier competition for home brewer
